Yifan joined Runway Growth Capital in July 2020 as an associate and member of the investment team.

Prior to Runway, Yifan was a senior associate and founding team member at Freemark Partners, the private investment firm for Howard Marks (co-founder of Oaktree Capital) focused on long-term, control oriented value investing. Prior to Freemark, Yifan was the Finance Lead at Driver, a cancer genomics and therapeutics startup based in San Francisco. Yifan started his career as an analyst in the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs in their Global Industrial Group in New York.

Yifan graduated with highest distinction from The University of Iowa with degrees in Finance and Economics.
